Description

Hector le Collector collects and converts biowaste into energy, heat, and fertilizer, promoting a local circular economy. Based in Toulouse, this social and solidarity economy player supports caterers, festivals, and local authorities with a turnkey, connected, and 100% traceable solution. After a period of regional consolidation, Hector is now preparing to roll out its services nationwide.

Mission Context :

After validating his model in the Toulouse region, Hector wants to expand nationwide. The team has asked us to structure the expansion strategy, activate the first commercial growth drivers in Paris and Montpellier, and secure the necessary financing (dilutive + non-dilutive) to support this major change.

Our mission :

Structuring the development roadmap, setting fundraising targets, and mobilizing public funding.

3 steps to revive Hector Le Collector's growth

STEP 1 - Funding research

Funding Research

Structure fundraising from business angels to secure the necessary resources for expansion. This fundraising was supplemented by work on non-dilutive public schemes. In total, five complementary schemes were activated, representing nearly one-third of the overall financing plan.

STEP 2 - Business developtment & growth marketing

Business Development & growth marketing

We first launched targeted digital campaigns (message writing, targeting, lead generation) to prepare for expansion into new cities and raise awareness of Hector beyond Toulouse.

Secondly, we acted as an outsourced sales arm for the team: qualifying opportunities, activating our network, and providing on-the-ground support to convert prospects in the events sector and among key accounts. Among the first contracts signed were Viparis, ChangeNOW, Jardins Jardin,…

STEP 3 - Visibility & recognition through competitions

Visibility & recognition through competitions

The solution developed by Hector is regularly highlighted for its positive impact and potential for innovation. Thirteen applications have been submitted to major calls for projects and competitions. Of the first six responses received, five have already been successful: finalist in the Circular Economy Awards, selection in Laura Tenoudji's Transformers section (in partnership with La Tribune), and entry into the Climate House accelerator.

And now?

Buoyed by its initial successes outside Occitanie, Hector continues its growth momentum. The team is currently rolling out its solution in several new cities with a clear goal: to become the leading player in responsible waste management for events on a national scale.
